Look at this way, you are squeezing nitrous throw a hole. There are two ways to add more nitrous, either increase the size of the hole, or increase the pressure on the bottle.
As the temp increases, the pressure in the bottle increases. The relationship is linear and is based on Boyles Law:
PV/T = P1V1/T where P = Pressure; T=Temp; V=Volume
So, as you increase T adn the V stays the same, pressure increases linearly.
At 85 degrees, you will be around 950 psi. At 60 degrees, you will be at something like 600 psi (I am too lazy to do the math).
Venom rates the nozzles over a range. What you are calling the 75 shot, is really more like a 60 - 80 shot depending on what bottle pressure you are at.
So, using a bottle warmer will make for a bigger shot.
Now, while racing your brother, you were probably only putting down about 50 hp to the rear wheels which is only about enough hp to make up the difference between your car and his car. But, when you go the larger nozzle at greater pressure, it will make a huge difference.
I once hit it for about three seconds at 1500 psi and I about broke my back. It was really stupid, but the bottle over-heated in the trunk and I wanted to drop some pressure so I sprayed.
I paid $100 for a NOS bottle warmer on ebay.
