I believe the guy is going with a Venom-1000. You can not tune those things in the traditional sense as these systems are self-tuning. So it really does not matter what the tuner does, the venom computer controls all the additional fuel addition anyway.
What you can do is to to have your timing retarded and have the programmer/tuner/chip richen up your fuel trims just a tad to help. I also recomend copper plugs. Keep in mind that according to Python Injection, these kits are designed to run on a 100% stock application without making any changes. Where you can get into trouble is when you have a lot of bolt-ons that might be throwing off your a/f a bit or cause your fuel system to run out of fuel if you ae using the biggest shot..
It is never a bad idea to throw the car on a dyno and check out the a/f no matter what. Just keep in mind that with the Venom the tuner's hands will be tied a bit.
These kits are very safe so long as you do not get carried away. They are not good kits IMO for trying to run a 200 shot for example, but if you stick with the directions and be reasonable (ie 90 shot) you will be good all day long. That's not to say you can't add more, but your risk increases.
I have used this kit for 2+ years. Sam has had it for about 5 years and has run something like 50 bottles through his. I know of no incident where a motor has blown on this kit...not one single one. Not to say that they are not out there, but I have no examples.
If you have a lot of bolt-ons, then you may want to upgrade your fuel system (ie pump and injectors) if you wish to use the largest jet (90 - 100).
As with any nitrous system, don't get carried away or greedy. Be smart.
