Granted your correct on most parts for getting a dyno tune but this is a good start for now.

You have no idea what your A/F is at this point, so for now you're just guessing. I've seen "conservative" tunes go as rich as 10 to 1 on the A/F , all the while the tuner/owner thinks he's safe while the over-rich mixture washes down the cylinders. Being too rich can be bad as well as too lean.
