i would personnaly go w/ a crate...

you could put in a DOHC or a much nicer block and have more potential than a 5.0 rebuild...

i would especially do this if they cost even close to the same $...

of course ya can rebuilt yer block from the ground up, too... that is really fun, and if its your first time you learn alot...
