Because without it my car feels so boring, it's just like driving any other car in many ways. Also, I love driving and I think that manuals are so much more fun to drive and put you in better control of the car. It also gives you something to do while you are driving and just gets you more involved in the driving process. I understand where your coming from.....to me that's a lot of money to spend especially when it's not going to make you one bit faster or corner better ect.....Good luck I guess
