You might as well go all out and detail it. If I were you, id wash it with a detergent soap like dishsoap or a car soap thats a detergent which will strip wax. After its washed , leave it wet and start claying it. Clay will remove 99% of the road grit and debrit that sticks to your car that washing doesnt remove, after you are finished, wash again then dry.
First id throw a coat or 2 of a POLISH. I personally use Eagle 1 because its just what I picked up at the time and havent ran out yet. after thats on and off, id throw 2 coats of a synthetic wax like mothers fx, or meguires nxt. after those two coats are on, I would top that wax with a carnauba. Your car should be returned to a deep brilliant shine with minimal swirl marks.
If I were you id look into KLASSE, p21s, and pinnacle which you wont find in most stores. youll have to order online for those, or you can just use like mothers or meguires from your local auto shop.
If you are unsure how to apply these products or dont know what to do, read the sticky at the top of this forum which will walk you through what they do and how to do them, and the end results of doing it.
