I just went with, Nitto drag radials 245/50/16 on the factory rims yesterday. its like night and day over the futura pep boys brand that was on the car when i bought it, and i murdered them already.
Ive had drag radials in the past, Yes they get a lot less miles, But i dont get very many miles out of street tires that dont hook up.
good luck on your search, look at other brands. ive put 265s like i said on factory 15" rims and they were buldging. Look at better traction tires instead of super wide, Less weight and rolling resistance.
I used to get these recapped Goodyear eagles in the mid 1980s 225s, dont laugh, those retreads were like a dam slick at the track. They didnt last long though.
Ive been searching for tires for 2 weeks, Summers coming, and just the way this cars going to be driven, i chose the DRs. I have a F150 for rain and long trips.
