Best SOTP cheap upgrade you will get is gears!!! Back in 1990 I bought a 1987 gt that had a AOD automatic and 2.73 gears!! To top it off, there were BF Goodrich Radial TA 265/60s which is almost a 28" tall tire!!you wanna talk about a dog off the line!!! 1250rpms @ 60mph!!!!

I switched to 4:10s and Destroyed those hard radial TA's i could barely spin before that weekend!!!

4.10s are nothing with overdrive. Before the T5s came out and AODs, Imagine haveing that c4 and 4:10s.

My first car was a 1970 Mach1 351 Cleveland and a C6 tranny, I put 4:10 gears in it. Try 3400rpms @ 60mph, Speedo i was broke, I remember.

Changing to 3.90s or 4.10s is no sweat on the highway, .62 OD will hardly notice.
